Virtuemart v.3.0 - I can't add products to the shopping cart

When a user registers and tries to buy a product it doesn't add to the shopping cart. After the user clicks on a chosen product, and clicks on the add button it doesn't add the product to the shopping cart. The shopping cart is always empty.

test with a standard joomla template

I had this happen. Try removing the live site url from your configuration.php. I found this solution somewhere on this forum - but can't seem to be able to re-locate.

IMHO this should NEVER be filled .. seen it break many extensions .. in theory it is only there for some Windows servers
