connecting VM and Xcart

Hi all, this is probably a stupid Q but I'll ask it anway

Scenario
The firm I work for has Xcart tied into their POS system. I'm used to using joomla and VM and as I'm putting a Joomla community site together for work I would ideally like to have a VM shop presence as well, somehow replicating the xcart shop in terms of stock etc.

Is there a way to share the xcart Db as the POS system updates the xcart, which in an ideal situation would update the VM?

As the xcart site is tied to their POS its not really practical to replace everything in favour of VM, much as I'd love to

Hi,
It's possible to use plugin to do the work, but this is Joomla side.
But are you try to promote xcart or this is a simple question? Because xcart is already a shopping cart.
And why using vm and xcart together ? Look for a xcart bridge for Joomla or simply use Virtuemart.
