front page link/menu problem

i'm using joomla 3.4 and virtuemart 3.0.6.2

I've searched the question in the forum but didn't find anything similar so i'm asking here

I want on my site www.consorziodellacastagna.it/site have a menu about the shop.
I want to have a dropdown menu, and the first voice have to be the front page link, the other one link to categories.
I have no problem with categories link. But i have problem with front page link

I created a menu, say that is a virtuemart front page link. the link go here: http://consorziodellacastagna.it/site/index.php/shop
buy in this page i see only some product in odd way... the correct link that seems to be correct (i see products, categories ecc...) is: http://consorziodellacastagna.it/site/index.php/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=virtuemart

why the shop front page menu doesn't work good?

what your seeing is correct -- at the top is cats - below is various "modules" or displays from the VM homepage

you can configure what shows in VM config->config->templates tad - right hand side

also over ride the "virtuemart" view default template etc

Why?

this layout have no sense... for example i see a component that normally is on the right side of the site exactly in the middle (the receipt module)

and why this front page http://consorziodellacastagna.it/site/index.php/index.php?option=com_virtuemart is totally different?

In the virtuemart config page I just see some configuration for the homepage... but whatever i set it semas that the http://consorziodellacastagna.it/site/index.php/shop
is always the same

what is it? it should be a VM menu to the vm frontpage
