send email to shoppers

In product (back end) to product status tab, you should be able to send an email to shoppers who purchased that kind of product. It is very easy to do, just write the message and then send it. But it doesn't send anything. So either it needs to be activated somewhere (couldn't fine where), or it needs some other software to be installed (as ACI). Does somebody know something about? I have looked for around but I couldn't find anything about this issue. Thanks for help

PS: Joomla 3.3.6 + VM 3.0.3

That sends an email to those who have asked to be notified when a product comes into stock. Not those who have already bought the product.
