Cannot Change Euro to USD

I am not able to change the default currency. I disabled all currencies except USD, marked in Shop under Currency: United States dollar and List of accepted currencies: United States dollar, and in the products United States dollar, but it still shows the Euro sign.
Since many had this issue before, I think something is not right in the coding.

I just define the currency in the Vendor tab and it works just fine for me in VM3.0.2 for GBP - and I must have done this tens of times in VM3 testing.  The modules usually continue to show the old currency until the mod_virtuemart_product cache is deleted.

try upgrading VM3.0.0 to VM3.0.2 and see if this solve your problems
