Please explain pricing! No docs!

Hi,

I am fairly new to VM but for the life of me I can't see why there is a need for Base Price, Final Price and Cost Price.....yet there is no price for Vendor Cost.  Is this a last minute thought or is VM missing this very important feature.

I have a product that I am trying to sell for $49.95  I placed $49.95 in the Final price section then all sorts of calculations have taken place and somehow the Cost Price is calculated at $44.19...then 10% tax should be added ($4.41) but that only comes to $48.60.......what am I missing?

It is really a suck and see .. fiddle with it till you get what display and prices you want -- you could write a small 101 guide for here when you figured it out..

but re Vendor price - i.e. the cost that you as a vendor get your stock for - there is a long discussions on here about this ..
