VM 2.9.8a Items are not showing up in Parent Catgories

Items clearly exist in the categories. However, when I select the parent item the products do not show on the category pages.

I have used virtue-mart on many occasions, but this new version is far to buggy!   

Any help would be appreciated.

first: this is a pre release test version - 2.9 (Test versions, compatible Joomla 2.5 and 3.x) !!!!
not intended for production use unless your willing to get your hands dirty in the code or at least work with the devs to solve the bugs
That is what testing is....

second: there is already a 2.9.9 version - also a test version - have you tried it?

thirdly: unless Rocket have out done themselves it is highly unlikely they have a VM2.9.x ready template!
have you tried with a standard beez template before dissing a test version of a soon to be released VM3?
