generic child variant custom field problem

good evening,
i have an issue if you coud help me (my name is Jiannis from Greece)

i have virtuemart 2.0.26 (and 2.6.6 tested)  and joomla 2.5.8

i have made some child products for one of my product and.
if i haven't click on "Overwrite plugin values of the parent" i can't change the values of the custom fileds and when i do click on it i can change the values but after i choose on the front desk a child product then the list of the child products is missing and i can't choose another brother product on the parent product.

is this a bug or something?

is anyway i can fix it?

is there any other plugin i can enable to have child / brother products with different values in custom fields and be able to check any of them?

hmm - why not 2.5.24?

anyway - don't know about this but have you tried vm2.9.9 (soon to be VM3) as a test - child products are much easier/simpler to configure

install the test products when you test and all examples are there

This is the normal behavior.
That option means that the child product will use it's own custom fields. Otherwise it gets them from his parent product

If you assign a custom field of type "generic child variant" , will display your child products inside the parent one.

You should definitly try vm2.9.9. This problem is solved there
