When you confirm an order I'm not redirected to page: index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=cart&layout=order_done
but I get redirected here: index.php?option=com_virtuemart&task=checkout&view=cart
This since I updated vm 2.6.6
can anyone help me please

Maybe the string tranalation is missing from your Italian language file. You can add the translation to that file or simply create an override. In VM2.6.6 there are two constants that may be involvedm COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_ORDERDONE_THANK_YOU and COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_THANKYOU

there are many - have you asked the particular developer

is he using those lang vars or some other?

Also from memory doesn't the thank you message come from the payment plugin?

Have u checked the payment plugin to see if the var (or lack of var) is in there

I did a test by disabling the 3d party plugin and I have the same problem.
I also asked the developer and he told me that it depends on the 3d party plugin

The response of the developer of the plugin was this:
It has nothing to do with VP One Page Checkout plugin. That can only happen due to incorrect translation and you will also face the same issue even if you use standard VirtueMart Checkout system.

You need to ensure than the following language tag is correctly translated in your in your VirtueMart language file and one time only (no duplicates).
COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_ORDERDONE_THANK_YOU

I have watched, the duplicate rows are not there.
And the language file is translated correctly

there is full lang debugging built into Joomla  - you need to find where that phrase is formed and what var they are using and if the correct lang file is being loaded without errors

In the previous answers I have attached the file of the Italian language.
There are two constants: COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_ORDERDONE_THANK_YOU and COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_THANKYOU
One of the two should work or not?

In the file (order_done.php) there is this constant: COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_ORDERDONE_THANK_YOU
This constant also exists in the Italian language file

I can't by some mystical means know what are in your files etc - all I can do is make suggestions for YOU to follow up on...

have you switched on your joomla lang debugging and sat down and analysed it?
