Child product deletion problem when upgrading VM! to VM2

I have update my joomla 1.5 sit to 2.5 and vm1 to latest vm2. When i go into a parent product i can see and change my child products but when i go tp product list and directly click on child products no products appear. This means i am unable to delete child products and more importantly cannot delte parent product because if you try iw ill give message " parent product cannot be deleted because it has child products". How to show and delete the child products.
