Generic child and child variant conflict?

Hello,
I've never tried that option before - but now when I try to use Generic child variant and child variant custom field simultaneously (assigned to the one product) I have a problem. When child variant is located below Generic child variant it doesn't work (please see the attachment). Vice versa is ok. I need of course use the first variant - that's why I ask you to help. What can be wrong?

Help us to finish vm3 and all this is no problem anylonger, promised. Exactly this parts works already. and if you see the difference there, then you directly understand what vm2 is missing. :-)
