product page does not show products

I have a problem, I created (and erased and created and erases) categories with products, when clicking the menu item for the shop you see the categories, but when clicking on the category, I get a page with the name of the category but with no products on it.
I confuses me because also that page does not pull the background assigned for the shop menu item.

I have checked templates, layouts, shopper groups, language and still not get it.

By the way, I had it, but when trying to use multilanguage the issue started.

if you have a multilingual site and your products have no title and description for each language, the products are not visible for this languages
