I easily made these corrections/changes using the Language Manager > overrides. But perhaps the changes can be made in the next VM update. Spelling source Merriam-Webster. Thanks!

I'll correct the typos - thanks for the information.
However, it looks like you are American, while VM2 is supplied with british English (en-GB). The U.S. 'liter' for example is written 'litre' in the U.K.
Have a look for example here: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/litre?q=litre (allows to switch between U.K. and U.S. English)
