Login fields still show even when I am logged in

Hi,

My website is having a strange issue whereby it doesn't give me any notification after I successfully log in through Virtuemart. Once IO enter my details and click 'login', the page simply refreshes with the login fields still showing (as opposed to 'You are logged in as.... click here to log out'

Could someone please shed some light on this?

We are not very good at guessing games so can you provide the exact Joomla?VirtueMart versions? Has this problem existed for some time or just appeared now?

VirtueMart does not have "You are logged in as.... click here to log out" so where are you looking for that?
