i'm a new user to joomla and i use xampp as my primary host for my joomla....
when i tried to use the extension of virtuemart this message appeared after i installed the first one....

what should i do? please help me i really need virtuemart for my website to be passed on tuesday

xamp is usually pretty slow so you should increase the PHP resources allocated in your php.ini

For example values see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=102045.msg339125#msg339125    If you don't know how to locate/edit php.ini in xamp then try Google. It is not a VirtueMart issue.

i followed everything that your link says not just the max time but also the others this is what says now:

Permission issue maybe. Readonly file attributes on some folders. Maybe try clean installation with Wamp?

Or just use the manual installation, which takes a less ressources.
