Error while downloading orders pdf in backend

Hello, my problem is that I update my virtuemart to 2.0.24b and I am not able to open the pdfs of the orders when I download them in the backend. I get an error saying pdf is corrupt and it coultnt be repaired. But if I go to the ftp folder of vmfiles I can download and open... Any help how can I solve this...?
