No Visible Value Display parent as option

Hi everyone,
I am using Joomla! 2.5.16 & VM 2.0.22c with PHP Version 5.3.8.
I have set up successfully A parent/children product which I can see in front end. Everything working great, the list box appears, when selecting a variant the page refreshes with the new price, image, description, but by the name of god I cannot get the children drop down list to have a Choose Option select option. I get the first child selected without the option to add it to cart.
Somewhere on the forums I found that you need to check the  Display parent as option which I cannot find anywhere on the product administration page.
I am working locally so there is not test URL so I am attaching some screens in case I made something wrong on the configuration

Hi,
In custum field, set the option button "Is a list ?" to no.

Thank you very much. Not the ideal way but it worked.
