Cart variants may change shipping weight, can that auto connect to FedEx?

Hi . . .

here's a tough one. My client has different options, cart variants, in product sizes, etc. but depending upon the size of the product the shipping weight will change and reflect on the Fed Ex pricing. Can I add the lb.s to the dropdown and have that figure into the fedex pricing automatically?
