Orders That Print Automatically Via A Hand Held Printer / Device

Is it possible when an order takes place it will be automatically printed by a hand held printer? The reason for this is that I am building a website for a client who has a fast food business and they do not have the time to check their orders on the computer while preparing food for their customers.

If their computer has a facility/program to send order emails to the printer as soon as they are received it could be done. Nothing to do with VirtueMart, more like something to be done with their email program.
