VM Cart/Orders list SAME items seperately (even same attributes selected)

On our website www.theuniformguys.com.au
VM 2.0.22
Joomla 2.5

When you add an item to cart and then add the same item (even the same attributes of the item) it will list individually.

So
1 x ItemA Size 10 Black
1 x ItemA Size 8 Black 

Is there any way to modify so that if this occurs you get the product with the item summarized

2 x ItemA               
      1 x Size 10 Black
      1 x Size 8 Black

I am technically challenged  by do my best to work things out via these forums and copying your code/modifications etc so bare with me.

Any help appreciated.
