safe path in different server

Hi,

I am using godaddy.com to host my ecommerce site. I am selling digital goods.

So can i host site in one server(ex: godaddy) and have my safepath folder which contains digital sale files in another server (ex:aws)?

If possible, does it have any operational issues or user related download issues?

VM needs write permissions to that safe directory so it cannot be on a different server.  I'm not sure if anyone has yet written a plugin to enable VM2 product download files to come from a different server.

You could sell downloadable products from other server (check 3rd party forum section). But anyway safe path is used for storing invoices. So its place must be on web shop server.
