Do not Display Product, if child products also out of stock - not work

Hello can you please help me? I have turned on "Do not Display Product, if child products also out of stock" in VM2 admin. I have 1parent with1children to test it. On front end I went through the whole order. the child product is now out off stock, but frontend still shows parent. Is this function working? or it is problem on my site? Thank you for answer.
