automatic updates?

Hi, Mid July I made some modifications to customfields.php and also made a small modification to the #__virtuemart_customs table. I am aware of the fact that these changes would obviously be overwritten if I performed a VM update. However, now it appears as if the changes have been overwritten automatically? Does VM make automatic updates?

No, vm doesn't make automatic updates. Only if you use the update function or install a newer vm version.

If you update virtuemart, the core files will be overwritten.
