Joomla version: 2.5.9

Hello,

Whenever you type in a search word on the website, and press the search button, instead of displaying search results you get redirected to the homepage.

I've tried to find the reason for this problem to be happening, which has pointed me here:
When I search for 'search' in the Extension Manager, I find the following: plg_search_virtuemart, which is turned on.
Thought when I search for it in the Plugin Manager, it does not show up.
I think that's where my problem is, but I've had no luck in getting it to show up. I've tried removing it and reinstalling the AIO extensions, but it did not work.

Does anyone here have any idea why this would be happening? And more importantly, how to fix this problem?

TIA

Maxim Pishnyak

'Search plugin for VM' is in the group of search Joomla plugins. Try to find that plugin in your Plugin manager again.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. When I search for either 'search' or 'vm' in the Plugin Manager, nothing is found.

Installation of this extension could be interrupted by unknown issue, could you retry installation process for this plugin?

I have reinstalled it now, it did not give any error of interruption, see: http://i.imgur.com/eQbxUoh.png
Though, I don't know what is meant by:

"com_virtuemart_allinoneInstallerScript:: VirtueMart2 update #__virtuemart_payment_plg_standard
com_virtuemart_allinoneInstallerScript:: VirtueMart2 update #__virtuemart_shipment_plg_weight_countries"

I have installed version 2.0.18a because that is our VirtueMart version.

I still cannot find the plugin in the Plugin Manager :(

When I try your Joomla search in the top right position, it seems to work correctly for me. Where the search results show up. It does find products. You can limit the search to your shop products, if you click the 'Artikelen' Radio button at the right side of the search form. (You might consider to rename one of the two 'Artikelen' words in the form).

The VirtueMart search consists of a module and a plugin. If you look into your database into the Joomla 'Extensions' table, you should see one listing of 'mod_virtuemart_product' and one listing of 'VM - Search, Virtuemart Product' in the 'Name' column.

Also you might check if your template is replacing the standard VM search. As far as I can see, the demo of your template at Gavick doesn't have a VM search module published either.

Thanks for your reply,

Yes, I unpublished the VM search and the website is now using the regular Joomla search.
I'm not working on it today, I will get back to you about the database.
