Hello All,

First time poster...

Now before I get blasted, I've scoured the forum for days and have fixed a multitude of issues already (thanks for the help) but have one still remaining... When I click on the download link in either the invoice, or email confirmation, I get taken to my site and an error msg saying 'File not found'...

I've checked the safe path in the backend, it is a path, not a URL and the directory is confirmed 'writeable' by the Virtuemart control panel... My safe path was "/root/home/safe/" and didn't work.. so I changed it to "/root/home/public_html/safe/" but still didn't work... Folder and file permissions are all 0755. I've tried everything I could find with the safe path but to no avail...

Also the download file (mp3) is published and marked 'for sale'. I do use a customised Beez5 template, but have only customised colours and text sizes, have not altered modules or template positions etc (so I think no template overides??)... I did have to disable a third party image plug in (CN Photos) on the store page as it was messing up the cart.

The custom field I created for the downloads is attached to the product, the download file is found in the drop down menu (product - custom fields)... no issues (I can see) there... Everything checks out fine in the cart, redirects to Paypal... invoice/confirmation sent... just the linked download file isn't found...

Any ideas? I'm starting to lose the plot over this lol  :o

My site can be found at www.counselloroncall.com.au

Joomla version 2.5.11
Virtuemart Version 2.020b
Istraxx version 2.020_1.1

Any help will be greatly appreciated, I've tried almost everything I could find on this forum to get the plug-in working to the point that it is now, but I'm truly stuck... Could be something very simple (sorry if it is) but that's probably why I'm not seeing it...  ;D

Hello!  :D

SOLVED THE ISSUE

So I found that it was a safe path issue... BUT I did have it configured correctly under the templates tab...

What seemed to be the issue was... that the download files were inside another folder inside the designated "safe" folder...
for example "/home/username/safe/downloads/"... The shipping plug-in didn't like that in terms of creating a link after payment... even though the path to them was correct under the "media files' tab... It appears, they had to be within the 'safe' folder itself, where they would go if you uploaded them through the VM control panel. I uploaded them via FTP inside another folder, hence they ended up where they did... It was confusing because there didn't appear to be an issue at all in terms of the files being found by Virtuemart, until the download link couldn't find them...

Thanks
