Temporary discount to several products

Hello everybody!
I'm trying to aply an discount to several products with Tax & Calculation Rules, but this rule is aplied to all products. The discount should have an active period.
Does anybody know how set aply no rule to all produts by default?

setup a category (e.g. discount xy) and unpublish this category

go to your calculation rule and choose this category

go to your product and choose the calculation rule as discount

HM - after end of the period the price prodct has NO PRICE anymore in frontend.....the calculation rule was limited to 05.07.2013 - 06.07.2013 the product has no price in frontend.....I think there should be a function like "Fall Back to standard rule  if period has ended"....but it seems to be missing...

The date is for the whole price, not only for the rule.
