help with creating categories - I have them very much

hi all,
I need a little help with creating categories. currently working on the shop with car parts. but this categories is very, very much (many?).
example:
level 1: car brand (audi, alfa romeo, ...) - 51 brands
level 2: - car model (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, Q7, and more, and more) - each brand has its models
level 3: -- car model engines type (a lot of engine types for each model)
level 4: --- category parts (breaks, engine, body, ...) - 11 categories
level 5: ---- subcategory parts (front breaks, rear breaks, ....)

level 4 and 5 is always repeated for each engine type. Now to the core of problem.

When I create a traditional categories tree, I have a tree with several thousand items (51 brands x 15 car models - average x 30 engine types x 110 categories and subcategories = ufff :/ )
how do I solve this problem? Need some inspiration.
