Blank page on checkout / no shipment match fix

The site I working on is:
Joomla! 2.5.6
Virtuemart 2.0.20b

I'm not the original designer and developer, they look for me to debug the site

long story short:
1. client told me website got problem: blank white screen when check out
3. identified the problem is on the weight_country plugin via error log (not the hosting error log, there is another error log, the one in your files exp: public_html/error_log.txt)
4. further inquiry on client, they updated the site because the hosting company ask them to do so (that is what they say, but will hosting give this kind of advices?)
5. I update it again from 2.0.8 > 2.0.20b
6. no more blank screen, but "no shipping method match your product" thingy appear
7. surf forum for solution, tried but not working: empty all text box, country, etc on the shipping and products; auto select shipping method; checked php version;
8. rage quit, delete the plugin folder (vmshipment)
9. replace it with the old plugin folder from the original files that are working (the one they got from the designer/developer, aka backup)
10. problem fixed...

Just sharing this solution with you guys, hope it helps. So far the website is working fine.
