no prices or add to cart after migration - SOLVED

Everything has gone wrong on this migration and ended up moving to a vps where migration from 1.1.9 went good - last trial was 6 days for registrar to repoint the domain name to new server.  but I digress...

Joomla 2.5.10 vm 2.0.20b PHP Version 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.11  http://sklo-union-glass.com/

looked a loads of threads and tried all sorts with no change. Have looked with firebug but not sure what to expect to see or where, but nothing leaps out saying errors..

Using beez 5 template but makes no diff if I use atomic or beez 2. same in chrome and firefox, windows and ubuntu.

Has to be something simple I am sure... but checked and double checked. SEO is of in joomla, seo is disabled in vm.
flipped various jquery things off and on.

OK, I compared to a live site that was installed from scratch. Somehow defaults get messed up so and pricing defaults to Wholesale, changing it to please select, problem fixed. Downside is updating every product... tried assigning all shopper groups to products but ha no affect?

Also notice that now it allows me to add to cart even if no stock.... how to stop that!
