Virtuemart 2.0 and PHP5.4

Hi there,

I have a VM installation running with PHP5.4. Today I noticed that there seems to be a problem with empty paragraphs/several consecutive spaces. In that case the character  is
inserted... This only happens in VM articles (e.g. shop description) but not with other Joomla articles. So is the advice to stick to PHP5.3 for some time or is there a workaound?
