Hi there, I have a small issue with my cart...

SEF works perfectly across the site, each menu is linked to a specific product category. This works well, even the products module links the products to the correct SEF URL.

The only issue I have is when a product is added to the cart, the link back to the product shows site.com/component/virtuemart/(then the product) instead of site.com/category/subcategory/product/

I did try adding the frontpage to a hidden menu and gave it the sef link 'product'

(This was mentioned here: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=101098.0)

...but it added /product/ to everything in VM, so disabled it e.g. link became site.com/product/(product name). This would have been OK but I have specific modules linked to the VM categories and products.

I'm using VM 2.0.20b
Joomla 2.5.9

Joomla SEF on
VM SEF on
NOT Multilingual site
URL re-writing on using AKEEBA pro .htaccess
none www redirected to www
Basket (cart) uses SSL
Site: www.bodhi.uk.com

Anyone have any thoughts?

Looks like you solved it yourself meanwhile. The link back to the product I can see in your cart view is i.e.: .../gifts/bath-body-sets/jasmine-falls-relaxing-gift-set-detail.
However, I would recommend to set your cart view to 'noindex, nofollow' for the search engines. You probably don't want that the search engines are indexing your cart, eventually including cart content. Search engines don't add products to your cart, but customers enter their data into it.

Many thanks JJK, I've set the cart to no index, no follow.

I never did seem to fix the linking issue... It's still showing components/virtuemart, It's low priority now so I can take time to fully investigate.
