overwrite customer id

Hello together,

I search a long time but I can't find an answer.
Since VM 2.0.18 I cant't change customer ID in Backend.
I can overwrite the customer ID from VM (the long number) with my own created number, but when I save that the new number is not saved. The old number is still there.
The only solution that I found is, change the number in database.

Is this a bug? If yes, when wil it be solved?

In fact you can never change the id, cause it is an internal thing. Do you mean the customer number?

Hello Milbo,

thank you for writing. Sorry, I mean the customer number. I could change that before update 2.0.18 in Backend.
At the moment I go to database virtuemart_vmusers -> customer_number and change it there. But that is uncomfortable.
