Redirect if cart is empty

Hello and hope you are having a good day.
Joomla 2.5.9 Virtuemart 2.0.20b Apache and php 5.3 MySQL

There are 2 parts to this. First I would love to know how to redirect the cart page if empty or after a person empties their cart. I thought it was a feature of VM but I can't find it on good, forum or any other place.

Also I have changed the default registration link to load the virtuemart user details page, which if you arent registered offeres the opportunity along with login, and it works perfect and is sef friendly however once a user registers then the page just refreshes instead of redirects. I would love assistance in looking for where that can be changed. I was thinking in the form just add the after post link. Any ideas?
