converting currency

I had bought a template from virtuemarttemplates.net
it has a quick start package which I installed on my website
the default currency is euro and I want to change it to USD .
but I wasn't able to do that , I submited a ticket at virtuemarttemplates.net and asked them and they said me :

It could be that your current superuser doesn't have rights to do those changes due the error you can see:

JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 62

Try to fix it accesing your database with phpMyAdmin and searching for your current superadmin ID which is 42, then change it to 62 and lets see. Users are found at _users table.

but when I changed it into 62 I wouldn't able to log in into administrator , so I have to change it to 42 to let me log in into the administrator...
then they asked me to ask my question here...
is there any solution ?

There is a known issue when making Joomla 2.5 quickstart packages with templates that include K2 due to a change in the way that Joomla handles the user id. Because the user id is randomly generated during the installation process you will receive an error messsage stating that a user can not be found.  And it sounds like you have a template using K2? The way template suppliers can get around this is by making a QS package without K2 and supplying both to the purchaser so you can install the QS, then K2 - and the admin will be correctly set.

If it is the actual Joomla backend that you cannot log into with id62 then it is not a VirtueMart problem.
