Dark background ill say for professional and serious company.

I'm not sure that the dark background is better for readability.
The speed of reading with light text on dark back is lower then with more traditional color organizing.

• What color has your last book background (I don't mean popular modern journal/newspaper)?

The web site visitors from more older then 13-25 age group could prefer more comfortable and less schocking for their eyes style of reading.


P.S. Ofc if there wouldn't be much reading on the your future web site, Jumbo, any color choice are welcome.

Yes, I and anyone else are able to read the name and the price of product which we would like.

BUT, imho, the more representative could be online shop which could give own visitor something more then various showcases about product on the web site main page. I mean something like

• showcase of some important articles (main & secondaries) bakerymart, fashionmart, winter
  
• 3-4 news/events intros ebay, movie
  
• some product reviews ebay
  
• some testimonials winter
  
• some article latest comments (or for example most discussed articles) movie
  
• showcase of interesting videos (main & secondaries) kidmart, fashionmart, movie, winter
  
• menus not far from footer with
  
  
  
  • shopping advices kidmart
    
  • customer care/service bakerymart, fashionmart
    
  • about us (corporate info) ebay, bakerymart,  kidmart,  movie
    
  • delivery&returns, cards&discounts fashionmart
    
• subsribe newsletters module bakerymart, fashionmart, kidmart, winter
  

As you could see all these stuff (that could make in-direct promotion in eshop) doesn't consists of images only (like slideshows and banners about products). Some modules really request pure reading from poor web site visitor.
