After Upgrade to 2.0.18 Cannot Add Custom Field Children

Hello all!  I'm fairly new at the Joomla/Virtuemart 2.0 experience.  Here's my current build:  Joomla 2.5.8 VirtueMart 2.0.18a on PHP 5.2 and MySQL 5.5

When I add in a Custom Field and then go to click on "New" to add the child product it does nothing.  Sometimes when I click on the "Save" icon it will appear most times it will not.  Is anyone else having issues with adding children after upgraded to 2.0.18a.  I recently upgraded from 2.0.12b to the latest since it had some many security and bug fixes.

UPDATE:  Also, just discovered that on some of the products where I have a Parent/Child product it's not showing the drop downs and saying "Call for Price" becuase there's no price in the Parent.
