I am new to the forum.  Just downloaded 2.0.18a for Joomla 2.5.  I am almost finished setting up my store but having trouble with shipping mod.
Is it possible to just list the shipping cost per individual product and have it added to the product cost in the cart automatically without having to go through all of the weight configuration confusion?  Love everything about VirtueMart but the shipping right now.  Any help would be great.  Thanks  ;D

We will guess Joomla 2.5.9 then.

You cannot add a shipping charge to individual products. You should use weight or some arbitrary value for selecting/calculating the charge in a shipping plugin. This can be the default plugin or an alternative, such as http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=112127.0  or  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=100630.0

Thanks for the reply.
I have downloaded several shipping mods now including the Pro Ship, but can't seem to get any to work.  I am amazed that Virtuemart would have such a great product yet make it so complicated to set up a shipping mod with weights and measurements etc.  I also can't believe that the shipping cost doesn't even show up in the shopping cart.   Oh well, I will keep trying to figure it all out.  Thanks for your help.

Shipping costs show on checkout the checkout process, as the address of the shopper needs to be known first so shipping can be calculated, or the shopper informed that they cannot have the item shipped as they are in a country to where you do not sell.
