Official website of the oldest french independent rock-clothing shop, created in 1967.
Huge website using Joomla 2.5.x + Virtuemart 2.x (with more than 30.000 products & more than 150 differents categories), Sh404sef, Jotcache and Custom filters.

I created our own back-office (called POSI), to creat SKU faster with colors, sizes...
Virtuemart is now linked to our own point of sale program. If a product is sold on our shop, the SKU stock is removed from virtuemart.
But all this should be the subject of another post. Just to show you my work, here is some screenshoots of this back-office.

(We can filter product by category or manufacturer (catégorie | marque) and the product are loaded with Ajax. No refresh)
Here we can easilly find products, edit them (photos, descriptions, categories, manufacturer...)

Hey Florentp!
Your implementation is great!
I'm just envolved in a shop project where they need an online store (Virtuemart) & a POS (Point of Sale) in the physical shop.
I'm thinking about using Kassanova's software (kasanova.org) but I would like to know more about your POSI implementation.
Have you done it for yourself from zero?
Do you know any free/opensource POS software?
Any advice?

Thanks for your comments, really appreciate 
The only existing POS software working with Virtuemart I know is Kasanova. But i tested it, and for some reason, i decide to build my own POS system.
Kasanova POS interface is too complex for my society. Sellers in our shops aren't developpers, or web professional. We have an old women (70+ years old) and some young people (18 - 25 y/old).
The POS had to be easy to use. That's why i build my own POS system. By the way, Kasanova have a big flaw for me : It need to be connected on internet.
If you'r Internet is brocken, you can't sell items...

POSI is not directly connected to the Virtuemart shop. So we can sell items in our shop without Internet.
And when Internet is back, POSI decrements stock from the server. That's the more smart way to work i find. And it work perfect !

I'll keep the community aware about POSI developement. But this will take some times to be released and available (if it is..).
