AIO Installation Failure AND AIO Uninstall Failure

I'm having a problem on a Jupgrade. I'm running through the process (I've done this on 10 sites now) of upgrading an old Joomla site and have gotten stuck at the AIO installation. I get two messages after attempting to install from the Extension manager:

Component Install: DB function reports no errors

AND

Error installing component

So, I tried to uninstall from Extension Manager /Manager and I get a few errors:

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file

AND

JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path:

I've checked all paths and they are correct. The VM component installed without issue.

So, now I have a bunch of AIO's listed in manager that I can't remove. I went through the files and removed the modules and plugins that AIO installs and still - no change.

Any ideas?

Anyone? VM team? If anyone else has had this problem - even if they have solved it, please post. If its happened to one of us, its happened to more...
