why cart varient add price in base price

when i add one product

Base Pride is 100$ = 1 kg
Now in Cart Varient 2 Kg = 200$

why cart varient add price in base price

in Custom field i add only 2kg only 100$ bez 100$ is already basic price

But i want to show in drop down 2kg = 200$

i didnot add 100$ in base price
