VM2 and virtuemart_parser.php

Having searched on the fora for virtuemart_parser, I came across the following thread: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=95141.msg312192#msg312192 which in essence exhibits the same problem I'm having which is lack of (installed) virtuemart_parser.php.

I notice that the file is actually included in the com_virtuemart.2.0.14_extract_first.zip / com_virtuemart.2.0.14.zip in components/com_virtuemart but not in the <files folder="components/com_virtuemart"> section of the virtuemart.xml file used during installation.  Obviously, I can and am happy to extract from the zip, but is there a reason the file is omitted from the .xml and is thus not installed?

ahh thanks, good to know that it is not installed. It is just there to warn you if you have old vm1 stuff installed. The file is almost empty and just showing a stack trace.
