UPS module - what does it do

I know this is a dummy question, but I must ask because I'm newbie.
I bought UPS module for shipping from istraxx.  http://extensions.virtuemart.net/extensions-virtuemart-2/ups-detail

Can someone tell me what should happen when client purchase a product from website?
I have client that have registered UPS account, and they give him some label print machine.
If client buy a product will that machine print labels, and would guys from UPS pickup a product???

I have do some research, and realize that this module only calculate shipping rates 
If you want to print labels and to tracking your order and other stuff, you need this one:
