Category SEF URL with odd Date in it

This is what the URL looks like after someone clicks an item from Category View:
http://domainname.com/2012-10-11-23-09-41/pistachios-3/chili-lemon-pistachios-detail.html

How can I get rid fo the 2012-10-11-23-09-41? Obviously SEF is enabled, but I can't find out where to remove this info.

joomla will ONLY allow 1 alias with the same name.

When 2 aliases have the same name, joomla will add a date to it


Look through your menu items, and also your categories, and see if you have 2 the same.

ALSO: try changing the alias, and saving. See what happens

Okay, none of my VM categories have duplicate alias' (I wound up changing some).

As for alias' in my menu items, I made sure they all had different names, and yet, the URL still has that odd date when hovering over a menu item (that is the same name, but not the same alias).

I have two menu items (via Menu Manager) that are the of the same Menu Title & alias:

Main Menu:
Title: Pistachios
Alias: pistachios
link: http://domainname.com/2012-10-11-23-09-41/pistachios-3/chili-lemon-pistachios-detail.html

Products Menu:
Title: Pistachios
Alias: pistachios
link: http://domainname.com/folder/pistachios.html

When these links go to the Category Layout of VM products, the VM Products links look like this:http://domainname.com/2012-10-11-23-09-41/pistachios-3/chili-lemon-pistachios-detail.html

I've already changed the alias' in the menu items only to be stuck with the same http://domainname.com/2012-10-11-23-09-41/pistachios-3/chili-lemon-pistachios-detail.html link for the Main Menu items.

I understand that if I copy a menu item into a different menu group that J2.5 renames the alias', but I don't understand why the 'date/time' for alias' that are NOT the same

As for the categories, there are no duplicates.
