How to add amount with a dot (e.g., 1.5) into a cart?

Hi,

I have an eshop in VM 2.0.6 that sells carpets. I would need to allow the customer to buy just fractures of meters - lets say 5.4 square meters... but when I insert the number and add it to cart, it changes the amount to 5.

Please advise what to do about it!
