Want one language in frontend, English in backend

I have upgraded joomla from 1.5.26 to 2.5.7, upgraded VM 1.1 to 2.0.12f, and installed a Norwegian language pack for VM2 (from joomla.org).

I want Norwegian in the VM2 frontend as we only have Norwegian speaking customers, and keep English in the backend. No need for language switching in the front- or backend.

Is this possible? How?

I have confirmed the nb-NO language files are available at
Backend language files: .../administrator/language/nb-NO
Frontend language files: .../language/nb-NO
But Norwegian language is not selectable in the VM2 config.

As far as I know there is no VM2 nb-NO language pack at Joomla.org. But you can download it from here:

You will need to install both, the norwegian Joomla language files and the norwegian VM2 language files. Before you install the norwegian VM2 language pack, make shure that your Joomla default frontend language is set to Norwegian (otherwise your norwegian product descriptions might end up in en-GB database tables).
