Order Status Filtering Bug

Hi helpful kind souls,

I try to live with or find solutions to most of the bugs in the system, but this one baffles me and causes me great grief - i spend hours instead of minutes checking payment. The problem is:

1) Orders can only be filtered by name (this is not that bad, but wish it could be better)
2) The "Order Status" drop down filter is not working (bug). This makes it a gargantuan task verifying payments and changing status as I receive more then a 100 orders a day.

Anyone came across a solution pls?
