VM Not showing in Components

VM Not showing in Components I can get the aio to show, but then I disabled all vm in plugins, modules, etc.
I have the same problems since the latest Akeeba Backup (now not working either) said there was a new update to vm 2.0.12e at that time, I have been messing with the installation so long the only real install that went semi-smooth was the 2.0.10 that only took days not like this one taking weeks

Hello,

Do you use xmap component? Have you disabled the vm plugin for xmap? If yes enable it. This is a xmap issue...

not using xmap to my knowledge...

I have cleared cache several times

trying to still manipulate the install although I see it through a URL of site of ....administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart and trying to click the upgrade there I get still error of:


500 - An error has occurred.

Hello,

Please try to install it by downloading the tar.gz files from http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files
So, the thing is that never got it installed.

Always update using Joomla's extension manager. The VM internal upgrader apparently requires a fast server to work, and will fail on most shared servers.

I am using Joomla extensions to install and tried the tar.gz...and still the same errors.

I see in plugin manager and module manager there are versions 2.0.8 thru 2.0.12, but not showing in Components List

Hi,

Please try with a clean installation and prior to that increase your PHP limits for memory, file upload size and time out.

You could edit your php.ini file and import the following:

memory_limit = 128M
max_execution_time = 300
value upload_max_filesize 12M

If you don't have access to PHP configuration try to edit the htacaess file:
If you are using apache you have to rename the file to htaccess.txt .htaccess. Then under joomla global configuration you have to enable Use URL rewriting

After that edit your .htaccess and place the line:

php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value memory_limit 128M
php_value upload_max_filesize 12M

did your suggestion, except on .htaccess (that gave me a server error when changed) , it cleared up warnings and no database errors, but still same error(s):

Should I disable previous versions of VM ?
Then install from tar.gz from the first install option of Upload Package File ?

I have the same setup on another site and all went smooth with upgrade from vm 2.0.10 thru Akeeba Live  except for the finally error of :

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Sorry, was not able to create directory for invoices in the Safe Path, please create there manually the folder 'invoices'

All your latest errors are joomla errors ...

If you have a backup try to uninstall vm2, delete tables manually, delete fines manually, remove entries from the databse, reinstall vm
