Please select a payment method

I am using Joomla 2.5.6 and Virtuemart 2.0.12b

I only have one payment method and one shipping method.
I have set both to "default" shopper.

I do not need a bill to address or a shipping address, but it is not a downloadable product.

I have discovered that if I put details into the BILL TO details THEN it shows the payment method as the default one (only one). If I don't, it asks me to click to select a payment method, but does not list any methods, and says "Please select a payment method, We are sorry, no payment method matches the characteristics of your order. Please ."
I can only "save" or "Cancel" but there are no payment methods listed.

I know that shoppers can be "stupid" sometimes - so I don't want them to have to fill in the bill-to details. I tried setting the fields to "NOT REQUIRED" but it didn't make a difference.

I am desperate for help... If you can help, I can setup an admin for you.

After tearing my hair out for 6 hours... Suddenly 5 minutes after I posted this my VM asked me to update to 12c....
Problem solved :-)
Whatever you guys did in version 12c has fixed mine.
Thanks to all at VM for your hard work - the site I'm working on is for charity here in South Africa and we are opening tomorrow, many kids will be very happy!
