This content plugin for Joomla 2.5 and Virtuemart 2 allows you to embed Virtuemart product information directly into a Joomla article.

The plugin comes in two forms: a free non-commercial plugin and a 'pro' version with extra layouts, the ability to display additional images for the product, and a more sophisticated add to cart button. Both versions allow you to display a product thumbnail with a link to a lightbox full size image. The pro version supports a choice of lightboxes: the Joomla modal lightbox; slimbox and JCE mediabox. With the pro version you can also specify the image sizes as parameters rather than being limited to the default Virtuemart thumbnail sizes.

The plugin is similar to the product snapshot content plugin that came with Virtuemart 1.1x. Both versions are open source and GPL licensed.

The answer to your question is no, the showQuantityControls option is only available in the 'pro' version.

Thank you for the free module. I installed it but having issues with displaying the "add to cart". I have already tried {product id=1;showaddtocart=1}

but its still not showing? Perhaps this is only available in the PRO version?

No, the add to cart button should show in the free version.

The main reasons why it might not show are if the product does not have a price, or the stock level is zero and in the Virtuemart configuration you have set the stock handling to disable the add to cart button when stock levels are zero.

Thanks for the great plugin, i have the free version, and love it, just wanting to know if there is anyway to show a products star rating in there?

It would take a certain amount of work to add this as a feature, but I don't see in principle why it could not be done. I will bear it in mind for future development.
