Ligthbox link not inserted

Hi, I'm using version 2.0.8e (can't install upgrade at the moment) with j! 2.5.6

I've uploaded a lot of images via FTP and do a sync for media file do to let my customer choose product imges without upload one by one.
After that, I've noticed 2 things:

1) if I insert images using the search field in backend every images is showed in details page with image description (I've edited the css do to avoid this)

2) the function

$image->displayMediaThumb('class="product-image"', true, 'class="modal" ref="group"', true, true)
does not insert any lightbox link and images are rendered as a simple

I've not edited any file or do any changes ... so what's the problem?
Before the FTP upload everything works fine (almost, I've a couple of bugs) and images was inserted with lightbox link ...
Any solution please?

Perhaps you edited the wrong CSS line??? If you want to hide the image description on the product details view, the line to change is:
...\components\com_virtuemart\assets\css\vmsite-ltr.css, approximately line 196
change from
.vm-img-desc{display:block;}
to
.vm-img-desc{display:none;}

On my gallery the lightbox (VM2 uses facebox in the frontend and fancybox in the backend by default) works without any problem. But your statement "images was inserted with lightbox link" sounds like you are using one of the many Joomla lightboxes which are supposed to work with Joomla articles, but wouldn't work with VirtueMart without additional customizations.
